Agency Shop Provisions Carried Over

The Agency Ship Elections were held and ratified by Local 2028 Crafts Bargaining Unit members.

When Local 535 and 2028 reorganized into Local 221, Crafts Bargaining Unit Agency Shop provisions carried over.

Who voted for this to happen I did not..............The appointed E-Board ?

This was a Vote Initiated By the Union for all Crafts Members Exactly in the same manner as the Rescission Election, They received more than 33% of the Members Petitions to request a Vote Then Had a Majority to Vote IN Agency Fee. The Vote was taken in 2001 or 2002, Sorry I can't be exact but it was around that time.

During that Time I do recall Seeing Union Worksite Organizers Much More Frequently at Our Worksites, And seemed that the Union was Much More Active than they have Lately, At Least the Activity in Getting out to the Worksites and talking with all of the Members and addressing their concerns
